This cyanotype print was made in my garden, while my children played around me. Using knitted lace as the “negative,” sunlight revealed its delicate patterns in deep indigo blue. Each print becomes a kind of photograph of texture — a way of knitting with light itself.
These works have been a transformative practice for me in early motherhood: created in small pockets of time, surrounded by play and sunlight.
These prints are available in different sizes, so you can experience the quiet detail of a single stitch or the striking presence of knit as art on a bigger scale.
